Large Print Transcription

Information on Large Print
Large print produced for visually impaired people is another of our specialities. This process should not be confused with enlarged print, the photocopied version which is often offered by organisations that don't understand the needs of visually impaired people.
Regrettably, many organisations forget that not everyone can read either Braille or standard text. Indeed, you are considered to have a visual impairment if you cannot read 12pt text with the aid of spectacles.
The majority of elderly people have severe difficulty with standard print. They may not be registered blind; they may not even have an illness that causes visual impairment - they just can't see as well as they used to.
TransMedia Link offers a large print service, avoiding 'difficult' fonts and print effects.
We scan and re-lay the text, using fonts up to 48pt with double line spacing, taking care with forms and small print. The end product is a reader-friendly black and white document which is of a quality that cannot be achieved by simply enlarging the document on a photocopier.
Letters, insurance documents, bills and statements all come under our confidential service and what's more, we tailor the service to the precise needs of your client.
