Here are the steps we follow to convert your doument into a format accessible to people with learning difficulties:

Précis – Précis of long documents, concentrating on the main issues

Context – Putting text into context of other documents or developments if required.

Shortening sentences – The simplifying of text to ensure sentences are no more than 15-20 words long.

Large Print – Formatting text so it is clear and easy to read. Increasing font size and using Dark fonts.

Describing complex words – Complex words or phrases are described immediately after they appear in the text.

Removal of abbreviations – All abbreviations are written in full.

Inclusion of Clipart/Photographs - Specially commissioned clipart/photographs are used to help in the delivery of the meaning. Images are placed next to the text to compliment sentences.
